Why We Built This
Here's the hard truth: Half of the kids in this country can't read or do basic math by 4th grade. This isn't just a problem for schools—it's a problem for all of us.
We built these flashcards because we wanted to do something about it. Not with a magic solution, but with something simple and practical: a few minutes of practice every day.
The idea came from a dad who used flashcards (with a tool called Anki) to teach his kids math and reading, just a little bit each day. Over time, his daughter was reading years ahead of her age. His son had mastered multiplication tables by age 3. It wasn't about pushing them too hard—it was about consistency and focus.
Small, daily efforts can make a big difference.
Learning the basics of math and reading
It's a straightforward tool to help kids master the basics:
- Math. Adding, subtracting, times tables, and division facts.
- Reading. Sounds, words, and fluency practice to help kids read confidently.
We made it for two reasons:
To give kids a strong foundation. A few minutes a day can help them build skills that last a lifetime.
To make it easy for parents. You don't need to be a teacher or have hours to spare. LTBCards fits into your life, so you can help your child without stress.
And we're here to help. Learn how it works
This isn't about creating geniuses. It's about making sure every kid has the tools they need to succeed. Because when kids can read and do math, they don't just do better in school—they do better in life.
